ummmm.....well pretty much I needed to take a break from preparing my talk. I am SUPER hardcore about giving good talks and so I work on them for hours! I am dying, and I need a break, even though I really don't have the time to be blogging. I remembered this funny SCANDALOUS story and had to post it.
So a few months ago the company I work for was freaking out cause we were preparing to get audited. I told them that there was nothing to worry about and that I had everything under control. I told them that I was just going to wear my little black dress for them, and that we would for sure come out with flying colors. So the therapist starts practicing "bend and snap" with me. Hilarious! It is so funny when a guy does it! Anyway....
I got home and put my Facebook status as thus: Katy Hall is going to wear her little black dress for the auditors tomorrow. A few hours later I get a comment from my friend Chris that said, "I will be there tomorrow! Not for the little black dress but for the audit! I am the auditor." He wasn't kidding.
The next day I show up to work and Chris is talking to my supervisor. I try to sneak by, but he happens to shout down the hall. "HEY! Where's the little black dress?" I about died. Anyway, the rest of the staff thought it was pretty funny.....only after we passed the audit. Another awkward moment for me. But come on, out of my 400 friends on Facebook, what would have been the chances that my friend was the auditor?? It's a small world, and as I like to make it, an oh so awkward world as well. :)
