Garage Sales

So to make a long story short I have never been to a garage sale. I don't know why. I just have always felt like maybe I was too snotty and could never bring myself to go. Well today my neighborhood was having garage sales so I decided to get up and just walk around and peruse the sales. As I was walking around I saw people driving away with trucks and vans FULL of stuff. I was wondering where in the world they were finding all of it cause I had only seen a bunch of dumb stuff. There was even a house that had tons of boxes just full of junk that they were selling for $2 each.

Uh.....No thanks! I am sorry but I am not going to pay you to haul away your crap. Thinking that I would find something great soon I trudged along. I probably hit up 15 houses, and I came away with NOTHING! So my conclusion is that I really am too snotty for garage sales, or I just am not creative enough to make the crap they were selling look good, and I think I have given up on my garage sales interest.

I'm with you. Except I probably stop by a garage sale once a month or so, and there is NEVER anything good. Except that one time that I got an architect's desk for 15 bucks, but my sister stole it anyway. So, once in 10 or 15 years did i find something worth buying.

Can't find a better way to contact you, so I hope you'll accept a blog comment as a way to contact you.

You gave a talk in Single's Ward this summer with a quote from Sheri Dew about our spirit sense of identity. I'd love that quote if you wouldn't mind sending it to me somehow, maybe in a comment reply, an e-mail, whatever works. Have a great day!
