I made the habit about 2 years ago where I review my day every night as I drift off to sleep. I try to think of all the things that I did that were good and a few things I could do differently the next day. A few months ago I decided to start focusing a lot on where I have seen the Lord's hand in my life throughout the day. In Elder Eyring's talk a year ago he spoke about remembering those times throughout the day where the Lord's hand has been. I have been much more conscious of these things, and have been trying hard to not dismiss them as coincidences which sometimes in certain situations I tend to do. Despite my thoughts everyday, I have been bad at writing them down and preserving them. My new year's resolution is to preserve these thoughts every day.
By noticing the Lord's hand everyday in my life I have been much more conscious of him and his presence. I feel as if I have developed a more personal relationship with him through understanding more of how he works, and his personal love and understanding of me. I know that the Lord loves me, and I know that he knows me perfectly. I have come to know Him so much better this past year and I am grateful for that.
Every night before I go to bed I will continue to ask myself the questions Elder Eyring encourages us to ask. Did the Lord send a message that was just for me? Did I see his hand in my life today?

I stumbled upon your blog and read this great post. I remember Elder Eyring's talk, but needed the reminder. Thanks from a stranger.
