Some Things ARE Meant to Be

So this song came up on my ipod the other day and left me deep in thought for the rest of the day. It is a country song that talks about how there are some things that are just meant to be. So I started thinking about the things in my life that I feel were just meant to be. Hands down, no coincidence.

BYU-Idaho: Since 7th grade I was dead set on Utah State. Then they got rid of the program that would allow me to not have to pay out of state tuition. So my dad suggested we start to look up different universities online. The first one. BYUI. I fell in love, and never even went to the next school website. The rest is history.

My BFF's Michelle Schmidt, AY Sorensen, and Janet Ellis:
The minute I walked into my new apartment and met them, it felt like we were already friends. It is hard to explain, but they just weren't strangers to me at all. We joked and had fun the very first night the same as we did our last. We joked about knowing each other before, but I am certain it really wasn't a joke!

Jana John: I hated her when she first moved in, cause she was so dang gorgeous, then on one excursion to Wal-mart we hit it off, and have been best friends ever since.

Ammon 20th Branch: It was weird that everything just fell into place while I was searching for a place to live down here. Nothing felt right except for the apartment on Chasewood. But I would have to find a roommate, and the only potential was my sister who was unsure of moving up from Utah. However, in the end she did, and it all worked out. The 20th Branch has been a blast and I have met so many people who have influenced my life.

PSR: Originally I was a partial care worker. It was such a great job for me, and I loved it. However, my company got rid of my department cause it was only breaking even. I was switched to PSR which I really didn't want to do. However, I see how much of a blessing it has been. It has made me grow up tons, and has really gotten me out of my comfort zone. It has been one of the best growing experiences for me.

There are of course many others.

My mom's passing
The place I work at
The friends that have come in and out of my life
The roommates I have had
Clients I have worked with
Callings I have had
Ecuador

.....and more and more little things that happen every single day. There are so many, and I don't understand how people don't recognize the Lord in their lives. He is there every single day. What people deem as coincidences are merely the Lord letting us feel of his presence. It is all in his plan. He knows each of us so well, that he knows who we can influence, and who we can learn from and then he sets about his work. He IS there, and He DOES love us!! I know it cause I see the evidence of it every day!!

That is so great. So true. I told my friend tonight that if it weren't for you helping to make our dpt happy and laugh a lot, I don't know if I would still be around. So thanks! I liked your entry.
