Let Us Oft Speak Kind Words

So I have always lived by my motto that I wouldn't say anything about a person that I wouldn't say to their face. Too many times I have come up short on this and I am rededicating myself today to do better. I felt inspired to do this after a certain experience in church today. So in Sunday School the teacher asked people to raise their hand if they wanted to go on a mission when they are older with their spouse. A certain young man raised his hand whom I have judged to probably not getting married in this life. Not because nobody would want to marry him but because he scoffs at people whom I think he would be lucky to get. Anyway, he is a VERY awkward young man both socially and physically. After he raised his hand I leaned over to my friend and acknowledged to him that this awkward young man had raised his hand. My friend couldn't stop laughing. He then told me that it was a really mean comment even if it was funny. He knew exactly what I was implying. I am a mean person and I need to be better. Thank you friend(who will go unnamed) for helping me to be a better person!! We are all in this life together and if we aren't supporting each other than we are only hindering ourselves and the church itself. For people can always do more under a voice of encouragement and love than they ever could under a voice of criticism.

"Do unto others" is also a good motto; sometimes easier said than done, but I totally understand. I need to be better too...
