The Greedy Triangle

So the other day I read this book while at work called "The Greedy Triangle."

In the book the triangle is tired of being a triangle and sees a shapesifter who then shifts him into a quadrilateral. After being a quadrilateral for awhile he again is dissatisfied and asks the shapeshifter to add one more side and one more angle and then he will be happy. The story continues with the triangle returning to the shapeshifter every time he is dissatisfied. It isn't until he is so incredibly unhappy with the life he chose for himself that he finally decides that he just wants to be a triangle again.

I think that in our lives we are at times get bored with the mundane of life and the "hardness" of our trials that we see other people and wish to be them. In reality the Lord knows exactly what we need to reach our potential and just how much we can handle. It is often said that if we were to throw all our trials into a pile and chose one out again, that we would all just choose our trial again. Of course I am the worst offender of comparing myself to others.

Let's be honest! More often than not I feel like this guy!

...a SQUIB in a world of magical people.

Let's not be so focused on everyone else, and just enjoy who we are and perfecting who we are. After all it doesn't matter if the Lord gave us one talent or ten it's what we do with it that matters.
